The light at the end of the tunnel has become much brighter after today's press conference by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. He announced that the plan to re-open Texas will move forward. First, the Executive Stay At Home Order will expire as planned on April 30, 2020. This order superceded the mandate issued last week by Harris County officials requiring the public to wear a facemask/covering while in public. He still strongly recommends wearing the masks but we will not be issued a fine if not wearing one.

May 1st, restaurants, malls, movie theaters and retail shops will be allowed to open to 25% capacity.

They're hoping that the curve will continue to flatten and on or around May 18th, Phase 2 will begin by opening barbershops, gyms, bars and other businesses to 50%.

He also announced that sports that require 4 or fewer players to participate may resume.
