Last night’s Grammy awards took the time to honor those who were lost in last year’s Vegas shooting.  It was an emotional performance for Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris and Eric Church who all also performed during the Vegas music festival, before the shooting occurred.  Most notably missing last night…Jason Aldean.

…Jason was in the beginning songs of his evening performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas when shots rang out, ultimately killing 58 and injuring 489 people.

…Jason has been relatively quiet since the tragedy and is just now starting to talk about the evening in recent interviews.  He admitted it was easier to just not talk about the tragedy publically.  But it will forever haunt him.

…He just told the story about the day him and his crew finally got their gear back after the shooting.  Their things were all part of the investigation, but two weeks after the shooting Jason said his bass player opened up his bass that he was playing that night. And there was a bullet lodged in his instrument.

…Jason said, “people sometimes will ask me, ‘How close were y’all really to it?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, that close.’ My bass player who stands to my left had a bullet lodged in his guitar.”

…He went from experiencing the worst moments of his life, in Vegas, to the experiencing some of the best, with the birth of his son Memphis.  Jason Aldean says he’s ready to hit the road and continue to heal.  His tour with Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina will cross the country in May.  AND he’ll be here for Rodeo Houston, March 6th  ❤
