San Antonio has taken a huge step to curb cigarette smoking in their city. Just announced at, San Antonio has become the first city in Texas to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21 years old. This new tobacco law was voted on by the city council and passed with a 9 to 2 vote.

San Antonio joins 280 other cities across 5 states to do the same thing.

Would you support this in Houston? I don’t see the point, really. It may drum up money with fines and citations but I see this being incredible difficult to enforce against stores who violate the law.
