#BootWalkToEndCancer – Why George is Walking… “I’m a TERRIBLE BROTHER”
I am a “TERRIBLE BROTHER”!
That’s what my sister Sylvia used to say to me when I would come to visit her in the hospital and make her LAUGH too hard after a tough day of chemo or radiation.
That’s Sylvia below with Lady Antebellum. She was soooooo sick that day from chemo…but she was so strong and determined. Nothing was gonna keep her from meeting her “Lady A”.
Less than a year later…she would be taken from us.
When she was so sick with these clinical trials, and I would go see her and some days she would say “no laughs today okay, I just need a smile”.
I used ask her why go through the trials, the pain, the sickness – when the outcome for her was pretty certain…she always used to say “if it can’t help me, maybe I can help someone else who fighting this”.
And now that’s all I’m trying to do – help someone else who is fighting… Can you help me..help!
I’m getting closer to reaching my fundraising goal of $1000 for the MD Anderson Cancer Center Boot Walk To End Cancer.
So far I’ve raised $610. Can you PLEASE make a $35 donation today? (any amount is appreciated)
Please know – It only takes a few seconds. 100% of the funds I raise will help MD Anderson discover new, more effective ways to diagnose, treat and prevent all cancers.
And besides that – today I could just use a smile! #endcancer #cancerfighter, #cancerawareness, #cancer, #houston, #bootwalk
