In an interview with The Boot, Dustin Lynch brought up his social media breaks that he takes to recharge. As many of us know, we’re on Facebook every day scrolling and scrolling or on Snapchat snapping everything around you. There’s a constant appeal to keep up with your friends; especially, when all of your friends are getting married and having kids.
I think some people want to share a relationship online and they like the attention they get from it; which is understandable. We are proud to love the ones we love but Dustin talks about how that gets tricky with his line of work:
“I think there’s something to be said about having a private life,” he explains. “I’ve been in a relationship where the other person wants to broadcast it: ‘We’re doing this’ and ‘Look who I’m dating.’ That’s not cool. I think it’s precious to have a personal connection that’s not about the public eye. And that’s hard for me to find these days, now.”
I couldn’t agree with him more on the privacy part of things. It’s become ingrained into our minds that we have to share every bit of our life or at least our private parts of life with our friends. We don’t have to. There is no obligation.
Plus, privacy in a relationship goes a long way. With that said, feel free to join me on the links below.
