Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
Jessie Guajardo — a first lieutenant for the Texas Army National Guard stationed in Iraq for five more months — and there are a lot of things he misses from home here in Texas. He said, “I find myself day dreaming of the luxuries afforded to me stateside and how I take many simple things for granted. For instance, every Sunday is chicken tender night which is one of the highlights of every week,” he wrote.
But, the chicken served at the base is only so-so and in desperate need of some barbecue sauce, he said. But sauce from a bottle would need to be refrigerated.
“Trouble shooting, we realized the best solution to our dilemma would be to obtain individual servings from the best place for that…obviously Chick-Fil-A,” he said. So he wrote them a letter to the one near his home in Flower Mound, Texas – up near Dallas
And earlier this week Jessie said, He was “overjoyed to open up the boxes and see the almost 500 packets of sauce,” he said. “Everyone was thrilled and laughing. They couldn’t believe we had pulled off such a feat.”
The biggest problem since getting the sauce is that Jessie is rationing the barbecue sauce, only going through 50 of them so far. And Jessie said the real “AMEN” moment is that the box of sauces arrived on chicken tender night.
So where ever you are…throw your hand in the air… “CAN I GET AN AMEN”… – Focused on The Good it’s the Morning Bull with George, Mo and Cowboy Dave!
