Tonight The Bull is throwing another FREE concert at the Kemah Boardwalk.  The boys of High Valley will be there performing.  Here’s a chance for you to get to know them before the show tonight.

The duo is made up of brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel from Blumenort, Alberta.  The guys grew up in a Mennonite community in a very remote part of northern Alberta. It’s so remote that there was no TV or radio.  In fact, when they turned on the radio, there was absolutely no signal that reached them.

When they decided to head to Nashville to pursue their dream of music, they realized quickly how much they missed out on because of growing up in such a remote area.  While the guys attended a songwriter event in Nashville Brad heard Michael Jackson for the first time and raised his hand asking, “Who’s that girl singing?”

Needless to say things have changed quite a bit since then.  The guys have a more bluegrass sound of Country music.  You can thank their parents for exposing the boys to Ricky Skaggs growing up.

Catch them tonight at the Kemah Boardwalk for the FREE concert starting at about 8:30pm near the aquarium.   Corey Dillon will be broadcasting live starting at 7pm.

Here’s an interview the boys had with CBS This Morning
