Winter Storm Update: School Closures
By Nick Russo

Well, this is going to change things forever when it comes to social media. Snapchat’s new feature now allows users to see exactly where their friends are located. The new feature has been rolled out is being deemed invasive but Snapchat reassures it’s users that they can turn it on or off.

This Twitter user is reminding friends to turn on ‘Ghost Mode’ to avoid letting unwanted Snapchat friends figuring out where they’re located. This is strange, to me. I know I have a ton of random people following me and I don’t mind but this could take creepy things to a new level.

You know, Dirty Donnie who sends illicit images to you and you have to block him? That guy that isn’t blocked or that girl who isn’t blocked can now see where you’re that really what we want?

Or the stranger you met while you were out now knows more about you than you want. Privacy is still important to me. Plus, you don’t want EVERYONE on Snapchat to know where you live, right?

If your kids are on this app and you know may be a good time to investigate and adjust their settings for them.
