It looks like United Airlines are taking another hit to their customer service integrity after this 71 year old man was laid out and left on the floor of George Bush International airport. This is absolutely appalling. I get it, airports are secure places that require tough security and top level behavior but this is ridiculous. I don’t know what was said but there must be a better way to handle the situation.
According to nypost.com,
United apologized for the incident on Tuesday, saying the footage shows “completely unacceptable behavior” by the now-former employee.
“The conduct shown here does not reflect our values or our commitment to treat all of our customers with respect and dignity,” United said in a statement to the station. “We are taking a thorough look into what happened here and reaching out to our customer to profusely apologize for what occurred and to make this right.”
Witnesses say the man was left unconscious on the ground for minutes before anyone helped or attended to the man. A United employee called 911 but didn’t relay the exact situation to the dispatcher. The man has filed a lawsuit of $1 million against United Airlines.
It seems like bad behavior by airlines has become the new trend in America and unless airlines and their workers get their act together they’re going to be taking serious image shots for the unforeseen future.
Get it together, y’all.
