Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day!  At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity.  We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!

Janice and Prentiss are married.  Janice and Prentiss met in college and as Prentiss recalled, “…we kissed and held hands,” and “From that point, we knew we had to be married,” Janice said. So the couple got engaged – the college paper even wrote about it.

But her father had other ideas. He outright forbid it – he told Janice, ‘You stop seeing that boy or I’ll cut off your tuition,”.

So they broke up, moved on with their lives, married others, divorced – but they never forgot each other.

Years later, when Prentiss’s mom passed, he found the old engagement announcement for him and Janice.  Little did he know that when Janice mom passed a few years later – she found that her mom had also saved that engagement news as well.

So when they met again a couple of years ago, Prentiss mentioned it – and how he thought it was a sign.  Janice agreed, so as planned – just 50 years late, Janice in the courtyard of the school where they first met.

It was 50 years late, but Janice said “We are so happy….Our marriage is perfect. Of course we have few years to live it, but it will be perfect.”

So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
