According to KHOU,

A southwest Houston neighborhood where two police officers were shot earlier is on lockdown and residents are urged to stay inside and lock their doors.

One suspect is dead but the search continues for one more, according to Mayor Sylvester Turner.

Cops are telling residents in the 8700 block of Sterlingame to take cover, according to KHOU 11 News reporter Drew Karedes. They aren’t letting anyone enter the neighborhood.

UPDATE 3:57PM – The lockdown has been lifted but HPD is asking citizens to be aware of their surroundings and pay attention to anything specific.

If you are in the area expect serious slow downs of traffic due to high levels of police activity and be on the look out for anyone looking suspicious. The description given so far is a Hispanic male, wearing all black and a blue bandana.
