NRG is gearing up for RodeoHouston but that hasn’t stopped the NFL rumor mill from stirring up some crazy possibilities. An ESPN writer, Dan Graziano, wrote about the possibility of the Houston Texans signing Tony Romo to their roster for next season.

Dan’s reasoning:┬áThe Cowboys are likely going to have to release Romo because no team will trade for his contract. Once he’s free to sign anywhere, Romo will look for a contender that needs a quarterback, and there aren’t many of those. He also should go to a place where they have another option in case he gets hurt. And no, Brock Osweiler isn’t a great option (or else why would Houston be messing around with Romo?). But another year of development maybe helps, and adding a veteran like Romo to the mix could make the Texans a title contender if they can somehow get a dozen games out of him and he’s healthy in January.

This is a terrible idea, I think. I mean, Tony Romo is extremely injury prone and we already have a high-priced quarterback in Brock Osweiler. I know, Brock didn’t do all that well this year but WE STILL MADE IT to the PLAYOFFS! Second round! A few less mishaps and we may have been one step closer to the Super Bowl! I believe in Brock and his ability to learn and grow in Houston.

Let’s keep Tony in Dallas. We already have enough jokes told about us.
