Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
Earlier this week, we told that you that infamous partier, drunk and former Texas football star Johnny Manziel was going to be in Houston autographing memorabilia for $100 a pop during Super Bowl week. And the reaction was not kind.
Well, today we’re gonna flip the script and share a positive story about memorabilia. It starts with 10-year-old Brady Kahle, late last year Brady found out that two of his friends, 7-year-old Ben and 9-year Old Landon, had been diagnosed with cancer and Brady told Inside edition – “I just wanted help them as much as I could, so I can up with an idea”.
The Idea involved Brady setting up a table a setting up a table a holiday bazaar at the local boys and girls club and decided he’d sell some of his prized baseball cards. Now you need to understand that Brady has been collecting cards since he was 3. The first day he was there – sales were kinda slow – then his mom posted a picture of Brady sitting alone at his table. His mom said the more she thought about the boys fighting cancer and what Brady was trying to, well she said “ I can’t imagine going through this, and my husband and I knew we had to do something to help”. Soon after the post, the messages, donations and sales started rolling in, and at the end of the weekend bazaar Brady had made over $13,000 for his friends.
Brady was selling his cards, plus other dealers were donating things to sell. Some pro athletes found out about in and jumped in to help. And card maker UPPER DECK heard about it and they have named Brady one of their “Heroic Inspirations” and Brady is getting his own baseball card.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can you throw your hand in the air… “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for Brady… Focused on The Good it’s the Morning Bull, and if you ever see a story you think would make a great AMEN – email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
