Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
The one of the toughest thing for military families is deployment, and a San Diego Police officer is making news this morning got helping a family who was dealing with dad shipping out.
Josh Buetow was getting ready to leave on his first deployment for the Navy last week. His family, wife Brettany and his two children Rileigh who is 4 and Austin who is two were at Shelter Island in San Diego.
It’s the place that families can stand on the docks and wave goodbye. As Josh’s ship was pulling away, his little ones were screaming bye – but we being drowned out by all the others shouting.
That’s when San Diego PD Officer James Weaver pulled up and did something that is causing him to go viral. Officer Weaver pulled his cruiser up next to kiddos and asked them if they’d like to use his loud speaker on his squad car to say good bye to their daddy.
The little ones grabbed the mic and Officer Weaver cranked up the volume all the way up. And soon their dad and everyone one else on pier heard them screaming “, ‘bye daddy, we love you!!’
Their mom said, “I did not expect it at all…It meant a lot to us,I was holding it together pretty well until he asked them if they wanted to do that and I just slowly broke down and started crying.”
For his part, Officer Weaver, who has two kids about the same age, said he was just doing what any dad would do and “it’s getting and going viral and everything I never expected that
