Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
Veronica Solis, who is a cook at Kids’ College Learning Center in Edinburg, Texas, down near McAllen, loves her job and has never missed a day of work. Now that, not missing a day of work, is pretty amazing in today’s world but what makes it even more special is that Veronica has been battling cancer.
So recently when Solis was late to work several times, her boss became concerned. Veronica explained that it was because her ride to work fell through several times. She was devastated and worried about her position at the daycare center, so much so that she told her boss to find somebody to replace her.
Veronica’s boss said something needed to change, so about a week later when Veronica’s boss told her to grab her stuff and meet him outside – she was overcome when she walked outside and the boss presented her with her own car.
Veronica burst into tears, the boss teared up, and everyone cheered. Her boss told her that since she’d been such a faithful and hardworking employee, even during cancer treatments, that as soon as he realized she needed help, he knew he had to do something special.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN”… Always focused on the good news, and I wanna thank Melissa Riley – she sent me that story and Melissa you are the reason for the AMEN today.
