Not only is Trace Adkins a star on the stage, but Adkins is a rising star on the silver screen! In fact, Adkins has appeared on the reality show “Celebrity Apprentice”, “The Lincoln Lawyer” and “Wyatt Earp’s Revenge” but his biggest acting role will be in the form of a character in the movie The Virginian.

According to The Boot, Adkins who is the country crooner behind such hits as “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “You’re Gonna Miss This”, ran to the boarder to star in his latest project: “I told the director, the first day that I met him up there [in Canada] on the set, I said, ‘OK, let’s get this out of the way first: I don’t trust anyone who casts me as a lead in the movie,'” Adkins stated. “So let’s just start from there.”

The Boot also reports that Adkins’ film which will have a western feel to it, will also star Ron Perlman and is expected to be out by year’s end.

In terms of his career as an entertainer, Adkins states that consistency is key: “I just keep going,” he explains. “I come from the oil field and it doesn’t really matter how good a job I did yesterday, I’ve got to get up and do it again today. You can’t rest on your laurels. Every day you have to get up and prove yourself again, and earn your keep. That’s just the way I approach this business.”
