You may not be familiar with The Rankin Twins but you will be after the twins perform KILT’s first annual Girls With Guitars hosted by Jack Ingram.

KILT invites you to join us for an acoustic performance in the round from up and coming Nashville and Texas-grown female singer/songwriters on Thursday, July 12th at the Arena Theater featuring Jana Kramer, Lauren Alaina, Katie Armiger, Bonnie Bishop, Marlee Scott, Jaida Dreyer, and Bri Bagwell.

Identical twins, April and Amy Rankin hail from the small Gulf coast town of Portland, Texas and are now one of the hottest up-and-coming country artists in Texas.

What used to be Christmas Eve performances in front of the family are now sold-out shows at Gruene Hall as an opener for Roger Creager. The trips to Portland dance halls have now transformed into headlining some of the most famous music venues in Austin. Their first single off their EP of the same name, Headaches and Heartbreaks, reached number 41 on the Texas Charts. Their latest EP titled Silver Lining, further proves that the Rankin Twins are real, Texas country music.
